I am a piano player and songwriter. I sing only because I need someone to sing my songs. I have a wonderful family, my beautiful wife Kristen, and three wonderful children!
"When we speak of those who are instruments in the hand of God, we are reminded that not all angels are from the other side of the veil. Some of them we walk with and talk with—here, now, every day. Some of them reside in our own neighborhoods. Some of them gave birth to us, and in my case, one of them consented to marry me. Indeed heaven never seems closer than when we see the love of God manifested in the kindness and devotion of people so good and so pure that angelic is the only word that comes to mind." - Jeffrey R Holland (click here for source)
Just wrote this one this week. It has a kind of mellow feel to it. Sometimes I write lyrics from my own feelings, sometimes I write them to fit a song. This is one where when I wrote the lyrics I was trying to convey the feeling of the song.
I wrote this song about Kenny a little before his first birthday. I don't think there's a parent who hasn't had the experience of their child instantly cheering them up. No matter how upset or frustrated I may be, as soon as he looks up at me and holds out his arms, I can't help but be happy. We have a lot to learn from little children.
