I am a piano player and songwriter. I sing only because I need someone to sing my songs. I have a wonderful family, my beautiful wife Kristen, and three wonderful children!
This is a pretty sad song. It was inspired by a quote/story Kristen read to me the other day. Its at the beginning of the video, so you can read it there. I'm so happy to have Kristen and Kenny (and Anna in 2 days!!).
OK, so I wrote this song way back in the summer of 2005, this is one of the first songs (with vocals) that I ever wrote. I wrote it about Kristen, actually before we were engaged, when she was in Idaho and I was in CA. I played it for her later and its always been one of her favorites. So I recorded it.
You can't see, but I'm playing the piano as well as singing. So that should explain my strange movements(: Anyway, this is a song I wrote a few weeks ago... a little different style than most of my songs.
"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly. Stresses in our lives come regardless of our circumstances. We must deal with them the best we can. But we should not let them get in the way of what is most important—and what is most important almost always involves the people around us." - President Thomas S. Monson (Oct 2008)
