I am a piano player and songwriter. I sing only because I need someone to sing my songs. I have a wonderful family, my beautiful wife Kristen, and three wonderful children!
This is bit of a sad song, though I think it has a positive message. I recorded both an acoustic Piano version, and a JamStudio Version with guitar, drums, etc. In the end, I think the acoustic Piano, though very simple, sounded much better, so I went with it.
I've been wanting to cover this song, one of the few songs by Kanye West that I really like. Actually the melody and hook, which are the best parts, come from an 80's Tears for Fears song, "Memories Fade". The lyrics are kind of sad, (disclaimer: they do not reflect how I feel) but the music is awesome.
